Man, does it feel great to finally get back to shooting weddings! Jacob & Becca’s wedding brought me to the Fields Reserve outside of Madison, Wisconsin. I didn’t know much about Wisconsin before this wedding, but I knew it was in the Midwest and if the weather is anything like Indiana, an April wedding could either be sunny and 70 degrees, or -2 with a foot of snow. Luckily, Jacob & Becca made out with the most BEAUTIFUL day for a Spring wedding.
Before we finalized the timeline, Becca and I were debating on whether or not to have everyone get ready at their hotel in Downtown Madison or to save on driving time and get ready at the venue, but I’m so glad we decided on the hotel because the views of the capitol were 100% worth it. After everyone was ready, we arrived at the Fields Reserve, which was an incredible location for a wedding…everything you need in one location! The night ended with lots of dancing, a hilarious garter toss surprise, and a CHEESE CURD TRUCK. Yes….a cheese curd truck. It was amazing & Culver’s couldn’t even compare.
Planning a wedding during a pandemic is not an easy feat, but Becca & Jacob did a wonderful job and it ended up being the perfect day!
