I’ve been so excited to share this blog post with everyone. Robin is one of my best friends from college. We became friends pretty late in college; it was at the beginning of the summer before our senior year. It was my first summer living in Muncie and there was a small group of us that would always hang out since there weren’t many people left on campus. Our first night hanging out was actually at The Chug…which is the most Muncie thing ever. Anyway, she joined our trivia team because we had mutual friends. After that night, her, Brandon and I were pretty much attached at the hip for the rest of the school year. We’ve traveled together; from spring break (when we were idiots and thought it was a good idea to drive to South Padre, TX) to a vacation in the Bahamas just this past summer. We’ve lived together. We’ve learned how to “adult” together. And now, I’m so happy to get to spend her wedding day with her.
Robin and Cody met online and talked for about 6 months before going on their first date. Brandon and I would tease her every day and tell her that she was getting catfished (because our friendship pretty much consists of teasing Robin.) After their first date, they could tell there was a connection right away. They continued to date for a few months until Cody asked her to officially be his girlfriend. When it came time to propose, Cody had planned on doing it during a night out in Cincinnati. He ended up getting too excited and couldn’t wait, so he proposed during a night in at their home. Robin hates to be the center of attention, so it was perfect!
If you would have asked us in college, Robin would have been one of the LAST people in our friend group to get married. But all jokes aside, Cody is the perfect guy for Robin. They laugh non-stop when they’re together (as you can see) and you can tell that they love being in love with each other.
They’re huge Bengals fans, so they travel to Cincinnati often. They decided they wanted to have their session there, so we met up and just spent the day hanging out and finding photo spots. We started off in Downtown Cincinnati.
This wall was in the parking lot of the Paul Brown Stadium and man am I glad we spotted it – I LOVE the colors.
One of their main requests was that we get a photo on the Roebling Bridge. I’d say we can check that one off of the list. 🙂
We wrapped up the evening at Ault Park which sits on top of a huge hill overlooking the town. It was beautiful and if you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend visiting.
Cody & Robin, thanks for hanging out for the evening. I had so much fun and can’t wait to celebrate at your wedding next Fall!
