Kristen and I met my freshman year of college. We were both on the Ball State Cheer Team. She and Ryan recently got engaged, and I jumped at the chance to get to take photos of them. I mean…look at them, they’re literally models.

I met them at their apartment downtown and we shot at some places nearby. If you’re from Indiana, you know that winter was way too long this year. Well, we lucked out because the weather that day was perfect for a photoshoot.

When we were planning locations, Kristen told me that they had access to the roof of their apartment. We decided to make that our last location so the sun would be setting. The rooftop was amazing. Not what I was expecting at all…we had to climb a (very tall) ladder and crawl through a hatch to get up there. But once we did, the view was incredible. It definitely went down as one of my favorite locations I’ve shot at.
